Free Starbucks and Chick-Fil-A? Yes please! I have about 45 minutes in the morning between the time I drop off my oldest son and my youngest son. This is major temptation time. It’s too short of a time to really go home. What a pain to get the kids out then back into the car for just 30 minutes. My little guy also isn’t the biggest fan of cereal (our breakfast mainstay) and his favorite breakfast is the $1 McDonald’s sausage burrito. He only goes to preschool 3 days a week, so usually at least 2 of those days I give in and buy him the burrito.
This morning I had free coupons for me. The other day in the mail, I got a flyer for a free breakfast item at Chick-Fil-A. Chicken in the morning, a little weird, but theirs is pretty tasty. I also had an empty bag of Starbucks coffee. The bags you buy at the grocery store come with a coupon for a free tall cup of coffee on the side. When you can get the Starbucks bagged coffee on sale, it works out to be a pretty good deal when you factor in the free cup of coffee. So that was my morning. After we bought son 2’s breakfast burrito, we drove through Starbucks and picked up my coffee. Then we drove through Chick-Fil-A and got my chicken bagel. We still managed to get to son 2’s school 15 minutes before the door opened. But I got to sit and enjoy my food in relative peace while the kids watched Caillou in the car.
