Crispy Baked Chicken Strips

Like most kids in America, my kids love chicken strips. Who am I kidding I love them too. I don’t buy them pre-made, those are gross. I do cheat a little and use Bisquick. Fast food at home, what’s better than that? I like to serve the chicken strips with bar-b-que sauce and honey mustard. Although, homemade ranch dressing is always fantastic!

Instructions
  1. Trim the fat from the chicken, then cut into 1/2 inch wide strips.
  2. In a shallow dish like a pie plate, add the egg and milk and mix until combined. Place the cut up chicken into the egg mixture and make sure the chicken is well-covered.
  3. In a large zip top bag, add the Bisquick, parmesan cheese, and salt and pepper and shake to combine. Add the wet chicken strips, close the bag, and shake until the chicken is covered.
  4. Place the chicken strips on baking sheets, making sure they don't touch (the air needs to circulate so they get crispy.) Bake for 10 minutes in an oven preheated to 425 degrees. Flip each strip over and bake for another 8-10 minute until the chicken is cooked through and the breading is a golden brown.
